Pastor Sam Quapourlee

Though born and raised in a Christian home, it was not until the age of 12 that I placed my faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.  This took place at a Youth Camp in Duaita, a village located in Central Liberia.  The camp was conducted by Rev. Karl Luyben, a missionary with Baptist-Mid Missions. I understand he has now gone to be with the Lord.

Praise the Lord that since this new direction in my life, I have been inspired by 1Corinthians 15:58,  “Therefore my beloved brethren,be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for as much as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” This verse has given me an overwhelming joy and focus in ministry with the strongest conviction that if I truly believe Christ has won the ultimate victory, that fact must affect the way I live. No amount of discouragement over an apparent lack of results will hold me back from actively laboring in our Lord’s Vineyard. As a called-out church planter, I must remain steadfast in Him knowing my work will yield ETERNAL RESULTS.

I met my lovely wife, Annie twenty-four years ago. God has blessed our marriage with five children. Sam Jr., Laywon, Farma, Tina and Joe. Sam Jr. is a Sunday School Teacher of The Crossroads Baptist Church, where I am the pastor. Three of my children Laywon, Farma and Tina are in the Youth Choir.
